National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency Speakers Present at USGIF Technology Day

National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency experts will address online/on-demand services and implementation and exhibit some of their capabilities at the U.S. Geospatial Intelligence Foundation Technology Day, May 12, at the Hyatt Regency in Reston, Va. The no-cost, unclassified USGIF Technology Day is part of USGIF’s GEOINT Community week, held annually in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area to bring together stakeholders within the geospatial intelligence tradecraft for networking, briefings, exhibits, and learning workshops.

NGA presentations and speakers on May 12 include:

9:45 – 10:15 a.m.: “GEOINT Online/On-Demand: The National System for Geospatial Intelligence
and a New User Experience” presented by Keith Barber, NGA implementation lead for online ondemand services
10:15 – 10:45 a.m.: NGA-selected online/on-demand demonstrations presented by Chris Rasmussen,
social software coordinator, NGA Joint Operations Integration Office, and Evelyn Thai, deputy
managing editor of NGA’s GEOINT Today program
10:45 – 11:15 a.m.: Question and answer panel session with NGA vision team and presenters
moderated by Marshall Harper, business operations team lead
11:30-11:45 a.m.: NGA Putting the GEOINT into the Hands of the User, presented by Robert Hicks,
Technical Executive for Office of Americas
2:10 – 2:30 p.m.: “Radar Imaging and Exploitation” presented by Thomas P. Ager, a lead synthetic
aperture radar engineer in NGA’s Acquisition Sensor Integration Division
